                                                                  CLEAN WATER AD HOC COMMITTEE

The Holmes Beach City Commission will be appointing individuals to the newly created Clean Water Ad Hoc Committee.   The Committee will serve as an advisory committee to the City Commission.

The purpose of the Clean Water Committee will be to focus, prioritize,  and coordinate community activity ad philanthropy to accomplish water quality improvements in our region.  Their focus is not to replace, contradict,  or preempt management plans.

The Clean Water Committee's vision is to ensure waters will meet the designated human uses for drinking, shellfish harvesting, or swimming and fishing, while sustaining healthy natural ecosystems that support natural processes and resilient native plant and animal communities.

Applications are currently being accepted for individuals interested in serving on this  extremely important committee.  Meeting times and dates will be determined by the appointed members during their Organizational Meeting.

The Ad Hoc Committee members will be a Sunshine Committee that must abide by all Florida Sunshine Laws.  The City Commission will appoint members in April 2021 so applications will be accepted through March 2021.  City residency is not required.
